Does AMEX Gift Card have an expiration date?

• No. Even though there is a "valid thru" date indicated on the front of the Gift Card, the Available Funds on the Gift Card do not expire. Its just there as a to ensure the gift card can be used at merchants that may request or require customers to provide an expiration date during the transaction process.

Are there any American express gift card fees?

• Yes, just like other credit gift cards AMEX cards also carries a fee, purchase charge ranging from $3.95 to $6.95 (depending on the type of Gift Card) will be applied. (But there will be no service fees after purchase).

• AMEX have eliminated all fees after purchase on Gift Cards, as of September 30, 2009, American Express will no longer incur monthly service fees after purchases are made.

What should You do if Your Gift Card is lost or stolen?

• Hopefully you did save your gift card number and the customer service number in a safe place, right! So if your Gift Card is lost, stolen or used improperly, you can contact American Express immediately at their Customer Service Number. However you must provide the Gift Card number and other personal identification details. The representative will check the American express gift card balance and if the records show that there are Funds still remaining on your Gift Card, they will cancel your Gift Card and send you a replacement card for the amount of Funds that was available on your card.

Can money be added to your American Express Gift Card?

• The answer is No. Once the funds on your Gift Card has been depleted, the American Express Gift Card is no longer valid.

What's the cost to order online American express gift card?

• If ordering gift Cards on the web, consumers will be charge a $3.95 per Gift Card except if you're ordering and American Express Photo Card, you pay a fee of $6.95 per photo gift card. Also if you're ordering AMEX Personalized Gift Cards on the web there is a purchase charge that varies by denomination for each personalized gift card.

What denominations available for online American express gift card?

• You will be able to purchase gift cards from the following prepaid amounts: $25, $50, $100, $200, $500, $700, $1000, $2000 and $3000.

• Personalized Gift Cards can be purchased on the web in denominations between $25 and $3000.

Please Note

When purchasing American Express gift cards at gift card mall or if you buy gift card at participating (In-Person) Locations: Denominations may vary by seller, which are determined by the policies and procedures of individual sellers. Please check with the seller before initiating a transaction.

As with any credit gift card you must take precaution to protect yourself;

1. Sign your signature on the back of your gift card, where indicated.
2. Write down the gift card number and customer service number and secure it, as a safety precaution in case your gift card gets loss or stolen.
3. If the gift card requires activation, instructions will be provided on the face of the Card.
   
4. During the American Express gift card activation process, you may be ask to provide the following;

• The card security code printed on the front of your Gift Card,
  
• An additional identification information such as your home phone number, date of birth, and zip code.

American Express Personal Gift Cards

At American Express you can purchase personal gift cards for spouse, kids, teens, relatives, friends, seniors etc. Here are the types of gift cards they offer;
